The fact that people are SO MAD about other people loving this show is

It's kind of hard to find a death in Naruto too. Especially when you consider the fact that everyone who died just got resurrected fairly recently.

Certain things are due to circumstance. Avatar state, Sozin's comet, Winter solstice, earth supply, water supply, etc. Not to mention the fact that those fights involved other benders plus they're in a completely new world now.
