(I know we shouldn't pit the two of the best comedies on the air right now against each other, but…)

The episode about his fake mugging last season also showed some serious justification for the Jerry abuse. But as reflected in my post above (which I wrote before I saw this thread about the issue directly below it), this thread encapsulates exactly how I felt about Jerry in this episode, culminating in that amazing

Hey! Let's do a quotefest from that episode! (one of my favorites)

Also working on so many levels:

Me too, anyaroses. Channel 11 in NYC? Or was it Channel 5? It's been a while.

Sorry, it's Jacoba, not Jacobia. It that less offensive to you?

No list of must-listen to Hip-Hop is complete without Notorious BIG's Ready to Die. Greatest rap album ever. Take off Cypress Hill for that.

I still think the best intro to Beefheart is "Safe as Milk." I love that album; sort of proto-Beefheart—much closer to psychedelic/avant-garde blues than the more out there stuff that follows. That stuff is great too, of course, but "Safe as Milk" is a great way in.

Stooges are fucking awesome.Since no one has given it props yet, I think the self-titled album is almost as good as Funhouse. There's some drag and same-y sounding songs, but 1969 and I Wanna Be your Dog are two of the greatest songs ever.

Yeah, I got something similar. This was the year I finally starting listening to and reall enjoying The Wu-Tang Clan.

As a younger fart, I'd still go to Groundhog's Day before Wayne's World. Though Wayne's World is a fine choice as well.

It's most likely a poke at Deal or No Deal. It aired opposite HIMYM for a while there, and the first season killed HIMYM in the ratings.

Oh yeah, well I don't have to wear my badge at all, I only have to scan it to get onto the lot and again when I enter the executives' building (uh, not because I'm an executive. Rather in order to pick up or drop off something at an executive's office as part of my glamorous job as a production assistant). No worries

Cobie is short for Jacobia. Canadians are weird.

No, no, it clips onto a lanyard, which you wear around your neck. That's how all studio/show badges work—can either clip onto your shirt or a lanyard (I work in TV/movies).

Barney's gay brother is already married on the show. Considering it was around 2007 when it happened in the show's time, they probably did it in Hawaii.

Aimee Mann was good, and is in my mind tied for the best use of non-original music on Buffy with Cibo Matto singing "Sugar Water" in When She Was Bad. (Buffy obviously has a lot of great use of original songs, specifically Once More With Feeling, and the amazing "Exposition Song" from Restless.

I saw Pavement at the Hollywood Bowl for their second-to-last show on the reunion tour. They were awesome. Tons of fun, and completely clicking. Crazy that they went from that to the disaster that apparently was their last show a part of the Matatdor at 21 concerts. But, as was said, they're famously hit-or-miss.

Not a spoiler
The best part as when Crowe takes his shirt off to reveal a schematic of the entire prison tattooed on his chest.

Deerhoof has some good stuff. Apple O' is pretty great, and I am, of course, a fan of Milk Man (though that isn't where my screen name comes from)—"Giga Dance," of that album, is my favorite song of theirs. Friend Opportunity and The Runners Four both have their moments as well.
