We've got in L.A. I always thought it made enough sense on it's own—they need three hours out of the week to clean the street, so what? I mean, it was a fucking pain in the ass in my old apartment before I had a parking space, but I guess I understand the purpose well enough (though they've been jacking the price of

I'm sure downloading/installing programs is locked unless you're an admin, and no SysAdmins have been authorized to do the update, or some such bullshit, right? Stupid work departmental absurdity.

Suspenders? Really?

I completely agree with Cassidy McJones.

Rockin' Ranger of the Junior Jimmy Brigade.

Heh heh, her revenge is not totally unWARRENted.

"Objects in Space" is pretty damn great, but no Firefly episode, in my mind, beats "Out of Gas." Love that ep so much.

I loved the Willow wardrobe stuff. So utterly true—that utter fumbling when it's not YOUR loved one who is dead, and you don't know how to be there for the person who did, in fact, lose someone. And the fact that it keeps on going well past the point of comfort is part of what makes it great, in my mind.

I DO think it's the 24th Century, yeah. Well remembered, nintendo historian!

I saw it. I posted this before I had scrolled down all the way.

One of the things that gets me is when Buffy goes to the door, and looks out on the absolutely beautiful, sunny day. It's things like that—the distractions and incongruities that get me—the way the rest of the world goes on and it can feel so wrong that it is. My mother died almost eight years ago now. She had cancer

Also, Aliens destroy New York, there's a 3rd Millennium medieval period, Aliens detroy that and then New New York is built, just like in the pilot when Fry is frozen and time goes by behind him.

That American Dad really is brilliant. It deserves a place next to the best Simpsons and Futurama episodes. Something Family Guy never achieved, or even came close to.

Damn, Nomar beat me to it.

That episode ending shot truly was fantastic. An encapsulation of what the show can do so well, really—be sappy and sweet and undercut it with pure anarchy (or have the status quo be so anarchic that a sappy sweet moment can't help but feel earned amid the craziness.

The Opposite (commenter): The one where George does everything opposite is "The Opposite." The one with Bizarro Jerry and all his Bizarro friends is "The Bizarro Jerry."

When I was nine my dad, his wife, my older sister and I all went to Disneyworld. One of the days my dad's wife fell ill and so he drove her back while leaving us in the park. We were fine (my sister was 14), but he was so worried about us that in his haste to get back he neglected to note the section of the parking

I might agree that The Contest is a bit overrated, but it's so iconic, as Jonjonjohnsonville says, that it's hard not to put it in that A+ territory.

Well that shut me up.
