Of course Rob is very much like all the staffers and commenters on The AV Club (if more arrogant). That why we love the film so much. He's so damn identifiable.

My sister and my borther-in-law hated A Serious Man. I think it's their best film since Lebowski. And yet they love Barton Fink. Strange.
It's funny because Shepard Fairey is/was a street artist before he did the Obama poster, and is at the very least an acquaintance of Space Invader.
Maybe they just forgot to take that prop off of thealready built Amy's bedroom set.
Booooooooooooo!
Clear? Huh. Why a four-year-old child could understand this report.
I'll take five and ten in Woolworth.
He'll get ten years in Leavenworth. Or make it eleven years in Twelveworth!
As well you should, Warren. Alien: Resurrection is atrocious. Seriously, no redeeming factors (really, it doesn't even follow his normal shtick, whethor you're a fan of that shtick or not).
That's in "Beep Beep," when Jimmy is trying to get them back together to boost their productivity, but they end up fighting, which, in the end, boosts their productivity anyway.
Good for you Chad. By the same logic, isn't it fair to say that I could live outside of New York for the next 10,000 years (I have for 4 and a half now) and never get used to saying "in line" rather than "on line?" It's not stupid, it's a linguistic tick. Does it matter enough to get worked up about it?
It's not so much that I'm doomsaying Futurama off of this one episode. It's just that it's hard not to be cautious about the return after the relative mediocrity of the movies. I'm sure this is just a misstep and not a trend, but I can't help be both excited and worried at the same time. This is my second favorite…
Yeah, so much of Looney Tunes jokes beyond the catchphrases were references to other things that are so old at this point we know them almost entirely from Looney Tunes. Still brilliant though.
I'd would like to say that I'd love a "Bite my shiny metal ass" app. "Kis my shiny metal ass," though, not as much.
Also, as a native New Yorker, I alwys say "on line." Saying "I'm on line" has become a lot more confusing since the birth of the internet. But it's too ingrained for me to change to "in line." I mean, it's not like I think about it when I saw it. It's just my natural turn of phrase.
Damnit, I was about to make a joke until I saw Jorge Von Salsa beat me to the punch. You suck Jorge!
Gotta agree with the crowd here. The Apple/Twitter jokes felt obvious (and I'm sure I wasn't the only one who saw why it was called the eyePhone coming a mile away) and the Susan Boyle stuff was both gross and stupid. In my mind, the only thing I genuinely liked about the episode was the Infosquito, a great new…
I sez to Mabel I sez
….what the hell is the origin of that phrase? I know it's in the Simpsons, but that obviously has to be a reference in itself, so where does it come from? Anyone know? Zack? Anyone?
If it makes you feel better, Sean, your obit was much more in depth than theirs and also, unlike theirs, wasn't riddled with inaccuracies.
A shame
I had no idea Rammellzee kept making tracks for so long. But Beat Bop is fucking amazing. Hell, in both Beat Bop that first video up there you can hear how ahead of his time he was, how amazing his flow was, and how much everone from the Roots to the Beastie Boys owes him.
