It's still great obviously, but it's definitely been going downhill since the end of the 4th series, with the exception of the excellent Dobie Club episode!

Nicola being elected leader of the opposition is perfect in that it mirrors the succesion of ineptitude the Tories elected as leader following their last 18 years in office…oh and the current leader of the Labour Party makes Murray look like Thomas Jefferson!

Agree with that, it was like Peep Show entering into its 5th series where you can't quite put your finger on how nothing has really changed but the sharpness just isn't there. Hopefully next week it will return to form with Tucker and Murray.

That was great seeing Malling in this, He was great in The Killing. Jan Meyer, what a legend!

I love the Krister Henriksson Wallander, discovering it on BBC4 a few years back it was so nice to have a detective series that didn't rely on flashy directing and ludicrous plot twists. It's far less depressing than the Branagh Wallander too but apparently many Swedish critics prefer the latter. The two shows are

The whole thing has been amazing! I have been lucky to get to a couple of events and the Olympic Park and have loved every minute. Super Saturday was simply the greatest day of British sport in my lifetime, I don't think I've shouted so loud at my TV than when Mo rounded the final bend in the 10,000m…well maybe when

Ok fair enough, but back to this myth thing, here in Britain we have this 'myth' that American drama is amazing, yet for every Mad Men or The Wire made in the US there are a hundred Suits. In all TV there are generally a few gems sitting on top of a pyramid of the mediocre to shite.

Watching Mrs Brown's Boys serves as a major corrective to that 'myth' (though I'm not sure if that's a British production or Irish).

Well I have watched it all the way through so I guess that's something but it's taken some will power to select it on the old Sky Plus. Mangan and Greig are great comic actors but I felt that their characters got lost either as foils for LeBlanc or in their very dull will-they-won't-they type story.

It's been better in that it's already established its world so we don't have to go through the laborious American/British comparisons so much, but it's still, well, just not funny. Le Blanc is just about the only thing it has going for it, he is by and large very good. Merc is a (unfunny) joke of a character and his

Paxman is a living legend! From his mauling of politicians to his withering incredulity at some of the wrong answers on University Challenge.
