Most things I predict turn out not to be true, but I have a real sense that this presidential bid is going to be his undoing in a big way, whether from the sheer weight of all the crap that's been revealed about him, or the potential fallout from him trying to invalidate the election results.

I'm just past the halfway point and I'd probably rate it above the other two MCU shows, except perhaps Daredevil season 1.

Yeah, I think after about two episodes of this and they've already had about five separate conversations that essentially boil down to 'Politics is more important than your business.' 'My money keeps your political career going,' etc. But having continued watching this is really the only element so far that grates,

I think if I'd spent 4 years in jail for something I hadn't done, at that point I probably wouldn't give a fuck either.

No shit!

Exactly this. I'd be really disappointed if the show veers into outright sci-fi/Matrix territory where everything we've seen is a simulation, but there HAS to be some kind of transcendental aspect to Whiterose's viewpoint that would convince his followers to be so willing to die for their beliefs, and 'China taking

I can't explain why but that Phil Collins song absolutely made that scene for me.

Thank you kindly!

You're probably right, but I left that unanswered because although we see it now, I'm not really sure that this was her plan right from the start of dating him. Someone mentioned on an earlier thread that she was potentially setting him up as the fall guy for Scott's wife's murder, instead of Scott himself. As a

My mistake, I actually meant to mark the other stuff as answered but not the parking attendant or boyfriend part (I blame myself, and also Disqus' changing the post's formatting every time I edit). Have fixed it now.

Hey guys, I missed the stinger with Trenton and Mobley when I watched this episode. Would anyone mind saying what happens?

Yeah, I think everyone was expecting this episode to make-or-break the show but it turns out it was… Fine. Didn't answer all of those burning questions but didn't ignore them either, and the answers it gave made a lot of sense to me. And by the end of it all I'm still looking forward to season 3.

There's also the as-yet-unresolved matter of her paying off the parking lot attendant.

Mysteries from last week (btw I haven't seen the Trenton/Mobley stinger that everyone's talking about so let me know what needs answering there):

I just rewatched that scene and… this. I don't know if it was just Hanson's directing but it looks like he just… stops.

Maybe they're not so much overlooking as…not seeing those flaws? Because they don't exist? I just honestly don't see where you're coming from with those criticisms.

Personally, I thought the best parts of 24 were always the ones where President (insert name here)'s political career was threatened by family members doing stupid shit.

Yeah, I always felt that Jack killing Curtis was the point where the character deaths had become arbitrary rather than suspenseful.

Season 2 was indeed the hacksaw season.

Secure the perimeter!
