The Dummy has a lot of great symbolism with the mirrors and Willie’s shadow. Isn’t the shadow the unconscious in Jungian psychology? It seems to me that Willie represents the darker side of Jerry who seems pretty shy with the girls. Jerry’s more comfortable being Goofy than the Lathario Willie seems to be.

Watch the fork!

Maybe the Beatles will sue to stop this from coming out.

I've never seen this. But The Body Snatcher and Bedlam are fantastic and have some genuinely disturbing moments. Karloff is fantastic in both.

@avclub-cfe912f5cb3aa572bd1c9ae2a9b82207:disqus Journey's End is on YouTube. Obviously from VHS and rough around the edges. (You may know this already.)

Good God man. Now all we need is something with Edwige Fenech.

No Whammies! No Whammies! No Whammies!

FYI, Amazon still has $20 Criterions going.

Pale Rider is very much in the supernatural. It's subtle, but there. It's pretty much suggested that Preacher was killed and has come back as an avenging angel. It's in the title.

What, everybody loves Caligula, Ivan IV, and Robespierre? You never hear, "Man, that Obama is such a Robespierre."

It's like ice cream.

Yes, not one person. Not a billion dollars worth of people.

He looks like Heat Miser.

I like Don't Torture a Duckling over Lizard in a Woman's Skin. It seems to care about it's storyline a little more. It's a great thriller and mystery and not just a gore fest.

In that case how about, The Bird with the Crystal Plumage?

If you're into Classic Who you may want to go with Amazon Prime. While Netflix and Amazon share many of the same titles the ones on Amazon are taken from the newer DVD releases. Netflix uses the older VHS editions, which means some serials are edited.

Yeah, it's not very good. McCabe and Mrs. Miller is one of my favorites and I enjoy the Long Goodbye. I've had Countdown on the DVR for a few weeks now. I skipped through it to see what it was like — Can't really say I'm looking forward to it and may just delete it.

I thought this was the best episode so far. There were some stiff line readings early on, but he seemed really relaxed here, imo. In other words the lines weren't as stiff.
