I've been using Feedly for about a month and really like it.

Also, poetry and that song about Dune.

I think Kane is his best film also. I like this movie a lot as well. I think it highlighted how the unreal was begining to be a force in modern life. He raises a lot of questions (the idea of value and authorship; 'fakes' vs. 'fakers' ) and doesn't really answer them leaving it up to the audience. I thought the

That's the only one I've read.

I looked into purchasing Chimes a year or so ago. There are several suppliers for Chimes with different transfers. The audio is slightly to terribly out of synch depending on the DVD. Apparently there is a Brazilian company that made an all region DVD. Is this the version you're talking about? It's supposed to be

The Gilbert book sounds really good. He has two more books between now and June. The one in June is new Palomar.

I saw them in what amounted to a barn in Flagstaff, AZ shortly after they started touring again after Tweedy went to rehab. The original date was cancelled and they rescheduled it. So, that's cool in my book
considering it was such a small venue (a few hundred people). Tweedy was very playful and engaging there

London The Biography sounds interesting. I've only read Ackroyd's Hawksmoor. I thought it was a good mystery with lots of London history.

Still plugging away at Catch-22. I've been tending to read it at work during the day and other stuff in the evening: Fire and Rain - The Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, James Taylor, CSNY and the Lost Story of 1970, and comics. I also finally read the booklets to Brazil, and Solaris from my Criterion purchases a couple

I think of Marathon Man every time I see Gandalf ask, "Is it secret? Is it safe"? I'm always afraid Gandalf is about to take a dental drill to Frodo.

Depends on the drugs.

It's way bizarre. It's a shame we never got more of the character, such as, the Buenos Aires scene.

I wonder if the name Cardiff is an allusion to the Cardiff Giant? It's as if Jesse Cardiff is a wannabe giant at pool going up against the true giant of Fats. Fats calls Jesse second rate a couple of times. Even though Jesse wins he isn’t as graceful or sophisticated a champion as Fats seems to be.

It's between Falk and John Vernon in Topaz for worst portrayal of a Cuban.

"Golden Boy is always the first shirt I wear out of the laundry, heretouch Golden Boy!"

I watched Withnail and I twice in the past month. It captures the break up of a male friendship perfectly. Withnail's 'what a piece of work is man' speech is possibly the best use of Shakespeare outside a proper film or play of his work. The (lone)wolf in the zoo just nails it.

I reread Hamlet not too long ago and it is perfect. I need to reread Henry IV, so I'll go with Macbeth since I reread it recently as well.

I'll throw in 60's era Mad Magazine here if that is alright.  The early 70's are pretty good too.

Perfect.

I'm looking forward to rereading it. Its been along time. He does need a good editor at times. I thought Wind Through The Keyhole was great. That's the last recent(ish) book I've read of his.
