I'd throw in the Rathbone/Bruce Sherlock Holmes films under this banner. Many were in line with Hound of the Baskervilles which was a essentially a monster story. They certainly have horror names: Faces Of Death, Scarlet Claw, Spider Woman, Terror By Night.
