His radio show was just discontinued in my market, but I got to listen to it for several months. There were parts of his schtick I enjoyed, but whenever he wandered into politics, it was just death.
The house party in "The Baby." Really, seemed like a good '70s vibe, like it could double as both a family gathering and an adult-themed party, and no one got uptight about the overlap.
Agree with all the points. I'm not even a fan, but I often listen to this particular track. There aren't many songs that just smack you in the face with life, but this one does. The last verse is just devastating.
I like how when there's the first confrontation between the two towns' kids, the expression on Martin Prince's face indicates that he's ready to start some shit.
Just recalling interviews, yes, it was a college guy who "needed the money," and did have to drink to work up the courage. Supposedly he was crying at certain points.
I was 13 when I stayed up late, alone, and decided to watch this movie as HBO showed it right after "Return of the Living Dead."

Better 'n The Sopranos.
Really? No one's gonna make a comic-book guy reference?
Don't know that this has been addressed, but I remember this episode as a direct sendup of that early-'90s case of that American punk kid being caned in Singapore.
