I think you'll be doing fine just to accept that you don't like it and move on. Why concern yourself with the fact that people like something that you don't? Nothing anyone can say is going to convince you that you like it, so I'm not sure about the legitimacy of wanting to know what you're missing.

I personally love the use of synth, and get annoyed by reviews such as this which focus on the use of synths as somehow being musically inferior.
