Look for the movies that were actually filmed in 3D, like Prometheus and Life of Pi, rather than the conversion job cash grabs like… well… mostly everything else.  I will also vouch for seeing all Pixar movies in 3D.  They don't go for the in-your-face gimmickry.  It just adds depth of field and feels awesomely…
