No love for the eel scene? I was dying when they went into the bathroom, and I liked how proud Annette was of Mindy for successfully bashing them. I think it helped show how Annette's respect for Mindy continued to grow throughout the episode. Rhea Perlman was on fire.

LOLA was boring at first, but I really felt like they turned it around in the second half (getting rid of the weaker cast members, bringing Connie over from NY, eliminating the dual lawyer pairs). Basically it became the same show as original L&O, just set in LA, which is what I thought it should have been in the

I always have at least 5 episodes recorded on my DVR. Even if I've already seen it, I can't help getting sucked in!

If he hasn't gotten the receipt yet, maybe he can still change it!
(P.S. Love your username/picture!)

I can vouch for this. I started oboe myself in high school (less than ten years ago), and I used the school's loaner oboe for my first year of playing before my parents bought me my own. It was in terrible condition, but oboes are definitely one of the more expensive musical instruments so my parents wouldn't buy me

I think I'm finally ready to give up on this show. It's not nearly as clever or funny as it thinks it is, and the characters are so poorly defined that I don't want to spend a half-hour of my life hanging out with them. Annie's dad was the only one who got any real laughs from me, and that was mainly due to his line

Yeah, that really took me out of the episode. It did have a great payoff with her overcompensation at the next college, but it was really hard for me to believe that she didn't know what Caucasian meant.
Also, none of the colleges I applied to even used Caucasian as a racial designation (they all used White), so I

I immediately thought of Joey too when Frankie pulled those pants out! I was almost expecting her to say she'd seen someone do it on TV. Man, Friends sure did have some great Thanksgiving episodes.

This may not have been my favorite Middle Thanksgiving, but it sure was a good one. The family freakout about the restaurant folks singing to Mike was amazing (especially Axl), and I loved the little sight gags like Darrin swirling the turkey leg in the water and Brick slowly turning into a Vegas gambler (the way he

I completely agree with #6. The problem I have with this show is that none of the characters feel like actual characters. They're just people on a stage telling jokes, and they could be swapped out at any time for other actors without anyone noticing. This show makes me laugh sometimes, but the jokes don't come from

I've been so frustrated with how they've been writing their relationship this season. They used to be by far the strongest relationship on this show, and when they first started saying things they loved about each other it felt real and sweet. Bernadette loves Howard because he makes her laugh (I love when they get to

I wouldn't say Sue is dumb, just incredibly naïve and optimistic. While she's clearly not as brainy as Brick, she's never been presented as a poor student like Axl. I'd say she's probably a B average student who will do well at a state school.

I think you're right in that the issue is not solvable, but the show didn't acknowledge that. They just had Amy brush it aside with a "we'll come back to this later," and although I do like BBT, the writers have a tendency to not "come back to things later." To me, it felt like they took this interesting conflict that

One of my favorite things about the Sue storyline was the Vince Guaraldi style music they played in her scenes. That and Brad's blue blanket that he brought to the pumpkin patch. It was a very subtle homage, but I enjoyed it.

Please let this happen!

I was pleased to see Jessica and Rachel getting more screen time, and it looks like both will have meaningful storylines and interact with different cast members (Rachel and Harvey in particular should be fun). I wish both storylines didn't rely on their love lives, but if it means seeing more of them, I'll take it.

Moment of the night for me was Brick spraying the cologne in his mouth. Mainly because my mom had to pause the show so we could all relive the time we were at Rite Aid and I sprayed some perfume into my mouth… (It was labeled "Cotton Candy"! I thought it was food!)

No love for the East Indiana fight song Sue sang? "We will defeat you with our tongues!"

I loved all of the Lion King references in this. The Star Wars ones were obviously going to happen, but that line about Jones's residual check was amazing. A wonderfully fun episode, and I really hope JEJ comes back again.

I find the lack of an A disturbing… (or at least an A-)
I would watch an entire half-hour of James Earl Jones ding-dong-ditching the Star Wars actors. Heck, I'd even watch it as a weekly show. It could be the nerd version of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.
