Transparent Season 2 is a strange thing. It has a lot of amazing scenes but also some very weak scenes. It made Josh, Shelley and Sara compelling to watch but I was so bored watching the Ali scenes with the lesbian cougar.

This is the first time the show has made Number 1 in Best of Year Shows at A.V. Club since it was always beaten by Breaking Bad.Even in 2012 where it had that magnificent 5th season while Breaking Bad had a relatively weaker year.

But that can be said for a lot of TV shows. I mean look at The X-Files. Even in it's best seasons (2nd,3rd or 4th) there could be a great episode and then the next one could turn out to be bad..

Nah. Hawley can write great dialogue but no one can touch Milch in terms of verbal awesomeness.

Maybe they can have Hank as the main character with the show set in 50's. After all there aren't many shows set in the 50's and they would be able to avoid the 60's which has already been extensively covered by Mad Men.
