He did seem pretty messed up in that documentary.

Now that's a fresh take!
My doctorate is in Braketology. The skills don't translate across sports.
In a word, yes.
We're special. And prone to being sad.
I've always wanted to read a story like that! But I need to know one thing, are there hijinks?
Frank Zappa already wrote a song about that. Get your own ideas!
It sounds like Yeezus was thrown in a blender with glitter, an old syth, and, for some reason, cinnamon.
I like how Phoenix has found his niche playing sexually frustrated males unable to connect with other people.
Thanks, guys. I feel both warned and cautiously optimistic. I'll probably pick it up after I finish moving through Infinite Jest (So could be a week, could be three years, that book is both exhausting and riveting).
I've never read McCarthy, but I picked up All the Pretty Horses in a used book basement the other week. Would any of you know if that's a good place to start?
Im new here, but Id be down.
INFP. Just like the guy who wrote Winnie the Pooh.
I watched an interview of DFW throwing some shade on Ellis. He kinda dismissed him for just describing how bad things are. Not a wrong criticism. But the hate makes some sorta sense that way. He's still a dick though.
He makes everyone else sound better. Would the peak of 2 Chainz's verse in Mercy be as great if we hadn't passed through the valley of Big Sean?
I watched Vanilla Sky expecting something serious, and I think that's why I responded so negatively. Maybe now I'd be able to enjoy it's trainwreckness. I saw Almost Famous as part of an intro film class, my Professor just told us to not think too hard about it, that'd be my advice for a rewatch.
God, I loaned that movie to everyone in ninth grade. I couldn't get enough. I even read the book. I was such a pretentuous fuck back in the day (5 years ago, whatever).
I think Vanilla Sky was the first time my 16 year old self was able to watch a vaguely "intellectual" movie and think, "that was bullshit" rather than considering it important art. But I do still like Almost Famous.
At least it's better than the whole Lil Wayne/Emmett Till nonpology. We'll get socially sensitive rappers one day.
Some lyrics referencing how bad a bitch (in the best sense) Temple Grandin is would be welcome.
