"Trivia Tidbit: (image of poster of "Sworn to Justice") This is a poster you'll never see. This movie is now called "Sworn to Justice", because "Blonde Justice" is also the name of a fairly famous porn film—oops! Includes an original and, by all accounts, erotic seduction scene."

Echo the love for "Face in the Crowd." I got it (on DVD) from the public library and Andy Griffith is simply stunning, utterly impossible to believe if all you've ever seen him in is Mayberry.

All in all, an excellent show; I especially like that the Germans actually spoke German!

Laugh if you will, but that scene got the goat his SAG card…

The jeeps actually each had a .50-cal M2 machine gun, which they would use to destroy National Guard/surplus US WW2 tanks. Very silly, but excellent for kids…

Yes, readers of the series find certain themes keep occurring in every book, including the inevitable one or two sentences, usually by a grizzled oldster, dropping a few cusses (among other recurring ideas: numerous lengthy wine-soaked meals, pages describing the passage of time reeling off in a dream-world way, the

Hmm…I'm gonna disagree about "Tears of the Sun," a film I totally expected to hate (Willis in anything, patronizing whitey saves the natives, etc.) and was, instead, impressed by how gripping the action was while paying tribute to NAVY SEAL operators. (Admittedly, they just would have knocked the Doctor's character

Right, like being addressed as "Captain" whether you are commanding an aircraft carrier or a canoe.
(Incidentally, the "official" US Navy rank of Captain is actually equivalent to a US Army full Colonel, wears the same insignia on the collar and everything. Very confusing.)

Denis Richards: - "I'm Dr. Christmas Jones…and…don't…make…jokes…I've…heard…them…all"

Don't call me Romero, George.

I wonder - seriously - if this title in any way influenced the name of Mark and Jez's friend "Super Hans" in BBC's "Peep Show." I've wondered how they came up with such an odd name…though on reflection, pronounced correctly, it would be more like "Super Can," oui?

GhaleonQ - I believe that's "fewer" Catholic, not "less". Happy to help!!:)

Considering how big the guitar is, that must be one pterodactyl-size eagle!

Back to Form
for Rabin! That Mackenzie Philips thing was a total bringdown.

You may recall, Parking Space, that the first season of Curb (in fact, possibly the first episode or 2) included some odd LD-pursuing-Mary themes (going shopping together, her mom, etc).
I thought a bit of adultery was on the menu, but the theme kinda faded away; even Larry's dickishness, apparently, has limits….

Jamesf - I always thought the lines was referencing "Swedish Frogs," (i.e., the "accented" croaking a foreign amphibian might make) though with all the giggling, it's hard to tell.

Teen & Queef could form a trio w/blunt-huffing sensation Leaf Quaateena…

Props!

Yeah, it blows, alright. I was in selection for jury duty and had a paperback novel confiscated and was barked at by the Court Pigs.
So when they questioned me about my "fitness" to serve, I pointed out that I don't like policemen.
And they let me go.

The first 2 seasons were pretty dynamite but the later stuff with the wives being dragged into their ops were hideous.
Like that Tiffy, tho..
