Me too. I hope she goes all the way. She's too great a player to never win a slam.

It feels stupid to get mad about anything Trump says anymore, because it's just so futile (and because he's such an idiot who I'm starting to think may really have dementia) but ugh this pisses me off.

I guess it depends on when we want to say his prime was. If his prime was his absolute peak, from 2014 to 2016, which is arguably the greatest two-year stretch of men's tennis ever put together, it's almost impossible for him to do that again. It strikes me as totally unfair to expect that of him at this stage in his

Sure. The injuries certainly took him out of his prime prematurely.

He hasn't strung together multiple titles like that in years.

What an incredible performance by Halep though.

Yeah, exactly. Federer and Nadal have been past their prime for a long, long time and they're arguably the two best players in the world right now. Novak will bounce back but at his age, it's unlikely he'll ever bounce back to the same level on such a consistent basis.

I think it's likely his prime is over, actually. That's not to say he won't win more majors, maybe even this year, and it isn't to say he won't continue to be a great player. But it is to say I doubt he'll ever achieve the same level of dominance he did from approximately 2014 to early 2016.

Better than me!

Everything is so fucking stupid.

I should watch that movie and also read some Beckett.

Highest non-champ there, followed by Coria and Kei.

He probably would have won at least one French Open if not for that Nadal guy who wouldn't stop hogging it.

It really does feel like he's done eh? Has to be in the conversation for greatest player who never won a Slam.

Head-to-head vs. David Ferrer is 24-6. I doubt any other Spaniard does better than Ferrer against him.

Hmm I don't know. But it's not like any particular group of players ever beats him often!

While I favour the top 4 to make it through to the semis, Nadal vs. Carreno Busta is the only match where an upset would be really surprising. Should be some good tennis.

Kei did beat Murray in the quarters of the US Open.

Yeah, I wasn't surprised. He hadn't been doing much on clay and apparently he doesn't like playing the surface because of how dirty it makes his shoes lol.
