This wasn't a particularly funny or satisfying episode, which was strange considering the high quality of the season. I'm not really tided over until the spring, I feel kind of let down. I thought there'd be more to Sphinx or Brock's absence. Oh well, till next year.

Worth the wait
I've been waiting since the commercials came out for this film for the AV club review. And I am so satisfied.

But "On Top" on Hot Fuss is anything but filler.

The next time someone angers me, I'll retaliate in an equal fashion, and be sure to use a word that demeans them as a human being. Even in the context of a comedic act, doesn't hold water. Would Seinfeld call a black heckler that word? Would any one else?

Tick and Venture
Phantom Limb and the shoe reminded me a lot of American Maid from The Tick, one of their previous creations. The more I think about The Tick, they created their own universe and take on superheroes in a more meta, satirical way than I remembered. I think that has a lot to do with The Tick being on Fox…
