Liked for Tampopo reference.  What a movie.

@napstimpy Are you OK? You have a…full-on erection right now.

Would that then imply that the way Abed sees the group going forward, or the way to best protect its fabric, would be to remove Jeff?  That would mesh well with the idea that Annie is "the one Abed wants to nail."

Also, @avclub-c7684d43035cba8fe351d14a41209dc5:disqus , in a recent interview Alison Brie said that a large part of Annie's arc recently is "becoming enough of her own person so that she can be with Jeff," so you've got that going for you.

@Scrawler2:disqus @avclub-c7684d43035cba8fe351d14a41209dc5:disqus I want to believe both of you.  I think Annie ultimately rejecting Jeff would be such a strong narrative choice for the show (and thinking about that rejection juxtaposed with Jeff's face after the kiss in Debate 109 is really sad).  But, in How I Met

And what's more, she made the denial to Abed and not to herself, which makes me doubt how truthful she was being.

I wasn't sure if it was Chevy as Pierce, or they just filmed Chevy's reaction to the episode.

I'm glad that I wasn't the only one who saw the connections, despite the fact that the episodes are complete opposites in some ways.

For what it's worth: for the first time since the hiatus, all of the emotional moments in the episode felt completely earned.  And it had that same feeling, that it shares with some of the other best episodes in the series, of simultaneous emotional resonance and ambiguity.  As for the funny?  "Emmy contender Pierce

Most likely West Wing character to feature on Archer?  I say Lord John Marbury.

As a Pens fan you say insane quasi-hockey, as a Flyers fan I say batshit insanity, but I think we can both agree that somehow it's no longer even remotely entertaining to watch.

DONNA!

Did he then have a cheeseburger with bacon…extra bacon?

The same thing happened to Dominic West in The Wire, except the transition from British to Baltimore accent is even more incongruous.

I read it in the voice of the German executives who come to take over the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant.  Then I ate a chocolate dog.

It's especially weird because he's talking about the episodes around Cooperative Calligraphy (I assume Conspiracy Theories and Mixology Certification) which is one of the funniest runs of episodes from any television show that I can remember.

Honestly, 'Hot Fuzz' built up enough good will that I would see anything with Simon Pegg in it.  Even after 'Run Fatboy, Run' and 'Paul'.

Yeah, it's where Evgeni Malkin rents his apartment.

"You happy now, bitch?" with Bunk face would be incredible.

Not from an actuarial standpoint.
