Yeah, I'm around the same age as you and I remember how vivid that summer/fall/winter feels now, because of what happened surrounding it.

Meh, DMX and to a smaller extent Ja Rule benefited from rap fans longing for a new "2pac" figure and DMX fit the bill the best, with the bald head, the abs, the bandanna, and the crying thug schtick, and all the arrests and beefs and stuff.
