Daydreams about Benedict and Idris in a purr-off. . .

Definitely Rik and Ade, no idea what that little bit is about really.

or IS HE…..?

"Is that a milkman?" A theme to be explored in much detail in Filthy Rich and Catflap.

What do you think you're doing, PIG?

Richie: Splice my sausages!
Eddie: Cor Lummy!
Richie: Christmas Pudding!
Eddie: Blood and Stomach Pills!
Richie: … hey Eddie!Eddie: What?
Richie: We really know how to swear, don't we?
Eddie You (f*cking) well hit the (cl*t) right on the nail there, you (c*nting) bastard.

It's particularly funny watching Rick be so hopeless with girls when IRL Rik was carrying on long-term relationships with Lise Mayer and the woman he eventually married. Woof, indeed, you bad boy.

Some favorite scenes from this episode:
- Rick hiding the good booze.
- The smarmy professor that everyone fawns over - we had one of those in my college days, you know, direct a couple of REM videos and everybody thinks you're a deity, even though you're really kind of a douche-bag (but I digress)

God's work, Electric Dragon!

Also, at some random point today, Jason Heller's coverage of The Young Ones should continue with "Bomb."

I can buy into the "house as character" line - it's definitely not a "normal" house in that no matter how smashed up it gets, it's back to normal the following episode, not to mention it can survive underwater while sharks swim around it! I can also picture it as one of the shabby houses from my student days in

As I commented last week, it would be nice to see these articles getting some promotion from the AV Club overlords. I think this coverage was not on anyone's radar, and unless you know the new articles are coming, there's a blink and you'll miss it quality to the posts.

Apparently you're not alone based on the (lack of) comments on this episode.

I just noticed on re-watch that Rick is the barefoot one in the Abbey Road send-up. Hea-vy!

And we get the second appearance of the mysterious hippy figure . . .

Speaking of a la carte - Google Play is going to have episodes of Game of Thrones next season.

So basically George W?

It's probably adequate to just say "phobic", as there does not seem to be an aversion to homosexuals per se.

Busted!

In my hazy memory, my band did a pretty terrible version of YYZ but at the time we thought we were great.  I was just the vocal talent.
