he would've been a terrible choice if only because he's the completely wrong temperament for Fletch. Fletch cannot be sincere damnit!

is there good will to be squandered from We're The Millers???

They should've gone with Jason Stathem.
    THEY GOT THE WRONG JASON!!!!

there was a story on newswire maybe a month or two back that said he's attached to a pilot in development over on ABC—so ABC apparently is considering banking on him for some strange reason.

None of the kids remembered him a decade ago.
I'm telling you—I turned on National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation trying to find something that I could leave on in the backround while eating dinner the night after Thanksgiving in 2005 and my younger sister who was a sophomore in high school at the time looked at what I

I honestly don't know if you're being sarcastic or not. Efron could do the part fine enough as a straight ahead character but can he be funny???

The silly teeth were to bring the kids in!

I really think the Smith/Lee version would've been a solid film. And yes Smith from what I remember absolutely loved the first Fletch. (and again Jason Lee would've been a very good contender)

I read a couple of em back when I was in high school and was enough of a fan of the 2 films to want to read them. They were pretty good—I mean it was awfully hard to not envision Chase while reading them, and the character in the book is certainly a bit more tougher (and together) than Chase was in the films but they

given that I still can't imagine Fletch as anyone but Chevy I'm now picturing Chevy in a rainbow colored wig rolling up his sleeve and inserting a comically overlarge needle and shooting up his arm with like sugar or something-

much as I think McHale would be perfect—wouldn't there be some kind of conflict of interest in having him take on Chevy's old part? (or do you think Chevy would be amused at that idea?—hell Chevy could probably have worked it so he would've had a cameo)

He wishes he was Jason Sudeikis. He'll have to settle for being Andy Samberg I guess.

I always if this was actually any good. It came out like a week before The Bourne Ultimatum did and was all but gone by the time that movie came out. I know this because I remember passing by the theater that Nancy Drew was supposed to be playing in (the poster in the display case outside the theater is the give-away)

that's the best kind of alert!

yeah i know the writers' always had to throw in an episode of what i used to call "throat-clearing" while they put the pieces in place for the next "leg" of the season—or at least what they wanted Jack Bauer to focus on for the next part of the day. Almost every season had that where they had to stall for time while

I'm quite satisfied with the nu-cult plotline so far. I mean we all knew that Joe was gonna find a way to take control of nu-cult anyways, at least this gives us an idea of how he's actually gonna do it without you know just getting onstage and saying I'm your leader now—and having everyone worship him automatically.

    Funeral Trope wrote back!
    Dear JHG
I don't do these cliches because they're popular. I do them because they're cheap and easy to write. Thank you for writing.
    Sincerely,
    Funeral Trope.

They could go the route of 24 (which i think is the show they've been trying to ape the most this season—that fistfight in grand central a couple weeks back was very much shot and staged like something out of 24) and have someone in a position of actual authority be a member of Joe's cult (since we've already seen

as someone who has watched this show since its premiere last year and continues to do so despite the fact that its far from good—i can't really explain my own compulsion to watch it other then to say that i just wanna see what's gonna happen. Its like a really bad paperback or a really bad movie—unfortunately because
