This episode was 100 % redeemed by everything in the Haunted House, especially Nick freaking out/screaming/laughing/practically crying. I watched that sequence a few times and laughed out loud each time!

This show is all things good and wonderful.  I am so happy it is back and I am so thrilled to be back to commenting with others who love Fringe as much as I.  It was so hard watching Walter be tortured.  John Noble takes my breath away!  The reunion scene with Olivia, Peter and Etta was sublime, especially after I

ALL OF THIS.  I really could not agree more.  This is exactly what "network suits think of as quirky comedy".  And, predictably, it is terrible.  I was so appalled and insulted I couldn't even turn the channel.  And those last scenes made me embarrassed for the actors.  I mean, really, WHERE THE HELL DID THAT COME

Ugh. I thought this pilot was absolutely TERRIBLE.  Everything felt so forced.  The major difference between Matthew Perry and Joel McHale is that Joel McHale is able to make Winger actually seem charming.  Then again, I am not a Matthew Perry fan.  This show is just trying so hard to be whimsical and heartfelt. It

And then Lochte screwed them all this year.

This was his first individual Olympic medal.  It's pretty cool for him. :)

I don't feel like Lane's death was somehow forced upon us this season.  Lane has always been a character straining under the weight if his perceived inadequacy.  He has been horribly insecure and self loathing as long as he has been a character on Mad Men and I believe he was on the pathway to his sad, self-inflicted

I agree about the character inconsistencies as well!  I can understand Walter's lack of ideas a bit because he is not the same Walter from previous seasons, the one who had years to build a certain level of confidence, but all the other criticism to me are right on.  There were just so many holes, especially for

I agree with most of what you say instead of the "rainbow" conversation and its follow-up.  I literally rolled my eyes and cringed.  I am a total sucker for sappy scenes, but I thought that conversation and the Lincoln/Peter "home is where the heart is" one were awful. Credit to the actors for selling the emotional

I think some people must be riding the high of getting a season 5 (still thrilled about that!).  I LOVE Fringe and throughout four seasons I have overlooked some episodes' more implausible and/or egregious shortcomings, but this week, what could have been an AMAZING episode fell short for me because of the hackneyed,

Todd got it wrong in his review, I think.

And Shirley is lieutenant, not chief.

YES!

Definitely.  I never loved SVU or Criminal Intent like the original.  I need a TNT marathon!
