Check out their report on "The Real Monkey Island." One of the most unexpectedly moving pieces of storytelling I've ever seen. https://www.youtube.com/wat…

I think they're so much better in person. For most of their songs, I'll usually chose the live version on YouTube to the album version. And it's funny how an art-school band wound up creating what's IMO the ultimate stadium song: Wake Up. There's nothing like experiencing it with a crowd full of people.

If you want my advice: do the drive and pony up for a hotel, if you can. Make a little mini-vacation out of it.

Saw Arcade Fire last night in Chicago. Freaking great show.

He also donated like a million dollars to Reading Rainbow, or something.

That's what I love about it, it's so freaking deep that even 1000 hours in you're still going to be learning and getting better. It feels meaningful to me, like committing to a real sport.

I've level 10 on Dota 2 and I love it. I've finally become competent enough to beat up on the newer players, so I have matches where I'm like 20-2 as Sniper or Litch and feel like a stud. I know that's all going to change very quickly when I start playing actual good players, but for now it's a ton of fun.

This looks great. Also, if anyone hasn't seen Bullhead yet, it's amazing. It's streaming on Netflix.

I've never used Twitch, but I use YouTube all the time to learn how to play Dota 2. I imagine it's basically the same thing.

She was awesome in Riddick. It's definitely a movie worth checking out if you haven't already. Plus, you get to see her "special destinies"… nudge, nudge, wink, wink.

The three things from the miniseries that immediately sold me on the show:

It was Earf.

Now that is definitely true. Burger King has a pretty serious business problem in the terrible level of service and the crappy quality of most of their locations. The ownership history of the business is pretty convoluted; it's been bought and sold like 10 different times in the recent past. I'm sure that contributes

Burger King is pretty damn good, and I'm not ashamed to say it. The chicken sandwiches and Whoppers with cheese are delicious.

I've written two books. If you like Game of Thrones style fantasy, you might like them:

I think this is one of the wisest things said about the finale. They should have simply ended with them going off the blend in with the natives. No mitochondrial eve, no flash forward to the present, no angels walking around in Manhattan. It would have hit all the right emotional notes without much of the silliness

And now legal in many states!!!

Who is your leather daddy, and what does he do?

(spoilers) Sir, I disagree. The opera house didn't work at all, and out of the all the made mysteries on that show, that one pisses me off the most.

But she smelled like cabbage.
