i'm not proud of this (yet here i am relating it), but maybe the biggest laugh i've ever gotten from total strangers (at least while sober and fully clothed) came not long after 9/11 and that anthrax-in-the-mail business. i'm waiting on line at one of those coffee/breakfast trucks and the guy running it is kind of a

i believe the phrase you're looking for is "dey tuk ur jerbs".

NO. WE WANT IT RIGHT THE FUCK NOW.

yeah, i thought it was pretty decent too. though it's a bit of a stretch to suggest that merely yelling "rick james bitch!" makes someone a racist. otherwise, i enjoyed it.

"…wishing i was at home watching the public eye for like, the 68th time!"

probably blasphemy, but i'll go ahead and say it: i really prefer the remake of TTCA. other than being pretty well-directed and having the always-cool steve mcqueen, the original did almost nothing for me.

yeah, i agree about TPP. which is weird since its sequel a shot in the dark is, for me, one of the funniest movies ever.

i got a big blast out of the jackson book when i read it a year or so ago, even though -SPOILER!- it was pretty easy to figure out early on which of the sisters did the actual killing that takes place before the book starts.

it's amazing how much shit you can get away with just being large and imposing. most dudes are gutless wonders in my experience. and i say this as a total NON-badass.

if we're being politically incorrect we just call them "retards".

i should be embarrassed to admit this, but i really like EDtv. and by like i mean i actually own a copy of the fuckin' dvd and have watched it quite a few times.

riddick cost 38 million and the worldwide box office is already near 30 million, so i guess it's going to make at least twice the production budget and thereby qualify as (sort of) a hit. to think that just a couple of weeks ago when i first saw the posters for it, i scratched my head and said "really, this exists?"

that sounds an awful lot like something from jack handey's "deep thoughts".

"pretentious" is the other one that drives me fuckin' nuts.

bathtubs of wayne?

if i lived near chicago, had money to burn AND liked any of the artists who are performing i'd totally be there too.

i love the idea of a guy going out with younger girls because he hopes they're unfamiliar with what male genitalia is supposed to look like.

hapworth has never been reprinted outside that initial appearance in the new yorker as far as i know. there are also some stories that predate his better known work which have been unavailable for some time now. they were collected and reprinted at one point, but salinger successfully sued to have them withdrawn.
