it's absurd that anybody who isn't a teenager wear a t-shirt with a band's name on it.

last pair of docs i owned lasted about 5 fuckin' years. and i wore the fuck out of 'em. you used to get your money's worth and then some from those things.

yup. i just watched it last night and it feels like this guy was reviewing a different movie than the one i saw.

he's a terrific actor who keeps turning up in shitty movies.

not a popular sentiment around here, but exactly how i felt. plus, the climactic explanation was the most ridiculous thing i have ever heard/seen in a supposedly serious movie.

fans of the original have every right to be irked by a remake, but the original didn't make all that much money here (and really isn't especially well-known to joe and jane six-pack) so it's completely understandable that some studio would decide that the basic idea would loan itself to a remake.

has anybody been pretending to like anything he's done recently? i get the feeling that some people legitimately enjoyed inside man (i wasn't among 'em), but most of his recent stuff gets trashed relentlessly around here and just about everywhere else i can think of.

you said it. jeez. someone needs to smack the crap out of harmony korine.

except for the fact that the girls in it seem like a not-too-bright boys' idea of what girls are like.

she was less irritating than usual in SNG. that's as close as i can get to saying something nice about her. oh, she was actually funny in whit stillman's damsels in distress.

i'm certainly not trying to be funny when i say she's ugly. i don't think it's sexist either. ugly is ugly. identifying it as such is hardly an indicator of misogyny. though of course i often refer to jeremy renner as having a face like mr. potato head, so i am an equal opportunity douchebag when it comes to comments

at last, someone speaks the truth. there are three women in my office over 50, and they're more attractive than aubrey "kermit the frog" plaza.

yeah. god forbid that anyone not share your opinion when it comes to something as subjective as music.

"i see red people…"

counter-programming?

i don't think there's a lot of outright hatred towards women around here but there is this whole weird thing where EVERY woman whose name comes up on this site gets the whole "oh, i would fuck the ever-loving fuck out of her" routine from a bunch of characters who, though they should know better, honestly seem to

he seems to be sleepwalking through most of 'em. how much energy does that require?

as usual, i'm just going to mention that she is pushing 70. wonderful actress. quite the beauty back in the day. nowadays? i dunno. different strokes for different folks, i guess.

you can actually give someone a charlie horse? who are you? god?

i think MoS is about the most inconsequential superhero movie since that spider-man reboot. there are good ideas scattered around in it, but the writing overall is really uninspired. and henry cavill is just bland and uninteresting. oddly, it also reminded me quite a bit of peter berg's hancock in regard to some of
