THE AV CLUB
opportunistically heteroflexible
I agree Sir Alan, I think that's just Erik Adams being a racist.
I actually thought that as I was writing it. But they'd have to be a hell of a lot more inventive than Oates.
My name's jellybeanpill and I'm here to say
I'm the rappingest meme on the A
V Club.
That read like I'm writing it off, but I like Wavves and intend to get the album. "Graves" was the track I listened to (a bunch of times), it could be straight off King of the Beach. The vocals are quite similar too.
Seems these days I'm captive in this borrowed time. Lyrics for the whole album: http://dulltools.bandcamp.c…
"Delivering one side of a couple’s argument at a house party, frontman Matt Korvette snarls at his crying date"
I'm glad everybody loves Parquet Courts like they should.
Yeah and between Embryonic and this they did a bunch of shit, like 24-hour songs, re-recording Race For The Prize to be about netball, making records with Ke£ha and making the vinyl with her menstrual blood.
Oh I forgot about the new Oh Sees record, that one was great.
And I'll be over here listening to Billy Murray and Edward M Favour. On wax cylinder.
Maybe you shouldn't have bothered mentioning it at all, since nobody cares about what you aren't doing. This comment section would be pretty uninteresting if we were all just stating things that we weren't going to do.
Yeah, I really like Aye Nako. You can download their album for free on their site and there's also Demo 2010 which is available free, that I was listening to earlier this year. Also, I'm seeing Parquet Courts for what will be the third time this year in November. I think they will have a new album pretty soon.
I think back to that a lot, when I think about Belle & Sebastian. I love it when Tom is in a good mood. And the caller in that Gem is such a goofball, too.
The internet in general has a bizarre chip on its shoulder about Pitchfork.
Your comments are unreadable half the time, and you're usually talking about films I haven't even remotely heard of. But I'm quite sure that I'm more fond of you than any other commenter. I'm glad you came back after all those years, man.
I believe this shirt was …
I would marry Tiger Tank if I could. Despite all the influences that have been listed, the one that the song directly reminds me of hasn't: Weezer's Sweater Song. Just a little quicker and with bent notes (until the vocals kick in).
The band in this article released In Rainbows for free, and that was something pioneering. Now they don't want their music on Spotify. They can do what they like with their own damn music.
