I didn't like The Conformist much. It was a little bit pretentious, and  there are scenes where you have no idea what's happening. Characters you don't know doing stuff of no clear purpose, or having conversations which don't mean a whole lot. It also has perfunctory nudity. The prof's wife goes into the other room
