So now even operating on (remainders of) a conscience so Walt can live with himself is a selfish act /"for himself"?

But moving, new identities, etc? That just sounds like a hassle. Better to poison a child.

Walt is capable of love for others - he cares for Hank and won't let him be killed (slash wants the upper hand over Fring).

Zombies are DEAD, bitch. What difference does it make what their job was when they was living?

WALT RISKS HIS OWN LIFE FOR THE LIFE OF BROCK.

Like all the people who thought that Jesse moved the gun to the side before he shot. Vince had to err on the side of clarity this time.

Please reveal your ideas of faster spelling by those who can do nothing but blink/ ring a bell to members of the medical community.

    she had a cane

Not seeing a discussion on this yet, maybe it's considered a foregone conclusion he wasn't:

We are conditioned to root for the protagonist. Even Gus, a man threatening Walt's infant daughter, is sympathetic to most here because we had that episode of backstory.

They suspected because the driver was Mexican, but he spoke to them in loud English - the driver's too-obvious way of letting Mike know what was going down…

Nah Saul lied to Mike about Jesse's whereabouts before (couching his lie as a revealed truth) Saul's a good guy - not really, but he'll keep Walt/Jesse's best interest at heart.

Gale's amiable dorkiness is so endearing, but the Ron Paul sticker should be consolation to Jesse. That shit's annoying.

Obviously Gale admired Walt's ability but after Walt tormenting him in the lab, remember he was singing "Crapa Pelada" (translates to 'bald head' or 'baldy' originally mocking Mussolini, but here maybe mocking Walt?) right before Jesse put one in his eye.

Seinfeld has "updated his act in ten years" - he just does it in a different way, cutting off the worst ten percent, so it evolves over time. But yeah I do think that it's the safer, older way to go, and some of those jokes do get rotten as mentioned.

Thanks, Tasha Robinson - glad to see others noticed Identity is basically The Three
"Okay, well here's the twist. We find out that, that the killer really suffers from multiple personality disorder, right? See, he's actually really the cop and the girl. All of them are him. Isn't that fucked up?"

Obviously love The Office, Extras & the podcasts & this show, but in this room, Gervais seems kinda like "Me too - right, guys?"

I was gonna post nearly the same thing,
but now I just look like a copy-lemming…

To drdarkeny's point - How hard is it to stir up controversy in this political climate? In their desire to appeal to all right-wingers, they ignored the most (only?) interesting part of this book - its insistence on reason & resistance to religious dogma. A little religious controversy got people to think The DaVinci

I do think Portlandia is capable of satirizing overly left ridiculousness better than most, and certainly better than PJ O'Rourke, etc., (who has the same off-putting tendency to laugh at his own "hilariousness" that Bill Maher has in his smarmier moments (= not rare)).
