I like how Jeyne Poole shows Roose Bolton really knows how to play a long game.

I thought it was a pretty slick change as the slide into obsession is all internal in the book so would be almost impossible to convey in such a fast moving TV show, without VO.

I'd love a Crow's Eye POV chapter. Then Victarion really would seem reasonable.

Marg learned at the Queen of Thorns' right hand. That's a damn good scheming education.

I agree with the Wax Maverick. If they drop the Reeds it's going to cause major headaches in season eight when Howland turns up and delivers a John Galt-length monologue filling in the entire backstory.

The Damphair and Balon were super annoying, Asha and pre-Reek Theon I was kind of meh on, but the (hopefully) inevitable Victarion/Crow's Eye showdown should kick ass on a Mountain/Viper level.

I wonder if they will merge Biter and Rorge with Pyg and the other guy (not Shagwell) from the Whispers. I really thought Pyg was Rorge the first time I read that in the book.

Polliver and The Tickler have definitely been cast so are staying separate. Don't know about The Sweetling.

Book 5 spoiler

I don't think Gregor's men can be considered rank-and-file. They're like the Lannister SS.

I suspect that Lollys might be excised as a Downs Syndrome child getting the Mrs Krueger treatment might be a bit far even for this show. Although American Horror Story would totally go there.

Werent't Thurston and Kim her legal guardians or something for a short time too?

They definitely need to include more Baelish in the show otherwise his big scene at the end of ASoS will seem utterly ludicrous."Oh, THIS guy!"

Dude definitely works out more than Renly.

I hope they kill off all the characters outside Westeros, including Dany, before we get to The Seemingly Neverending Saga of Quentyn Bitchass Martell.

ZX Spectrum zo Commodore.

I don't think that bit ever happened in the books. They implied what the Others were doing with Craster's sons and Jon definitely didn't see it. I like that they're showing not telling. Same with the creation of the Shadow Baby.

Just watched it, and the deviance from the book seems to be really kick in by the end, in totally awesome ways.

Loved the shot of the 'little bird' in the foreground after the 'power is power' scene.

I think Lollys would disagree that the proletariat are any less loathsome than the gentry.
