@avclub-a6fdefb2b99177b152b2392b43097665:disqus Your heart is in the right place but there really is no need to go back as far as Prince to find R&B as complex and creative as Zep. When artists like Gaelle, D'Angelo, Maxwell, Amel Larrieux, Electric Wire Hustle, Raphael Saadiq Bilal, Me'Shell Ndegeocello, Sa-Ra,

Said he was making country music, not music for country people.

@avclub-c30b17b451a2d904d45a4c895dbd4a62:disqus We clearly disagree about whether or not you can make reasonable inferences about people you interact with on the internet based on what they have to say and where and how they choose to say it.

A pretty fatuous assertion seeing as we generally can't prove that anybody on the internet is who or whatever they claim to be.

He certainly has a zest for it but I'd be more curious to see him flex his knowledge of scientific biological transmogrification.

Give the context of the article and what Todd describes I assumed that was self evident.

I'm not a religious apologist but I'd assume you have to believe in (the Christian) god for the sentiment to hold sway.

@avclub-22ce23196c2ec6eadd651bf0ba7d4d75:disqus  I wasn't trying to present my experience as universal but I can see how you could interpret what I said in that way. I do ultimately acknowledge that I can only speak sincerely in terms of what I have experienced.

Believe me, as an atheist I've experimented with a fair number of things. Nothing comes anywhere near close.

In all seriousness though not being able to relate to/enjoy gospel music was one of the hardest things about renouncing my faith.

"Worst period period period Generation period period period Ever period period period."?

I can't breathe

Nah unless there's tons of empty seats, everybody taking two chairs ensures that half the people in the room end up standing around awkwardly and I think we've seen just about enough awkward.
