Just because you like fatties, @avclub-cfe912f5cb3aa572bd1c9ae2a9b82207:disqus , you don't have the right to force that on the rest of us.

In case you couldn't tell, Lovecraft, the Cthulhu Mythos, and Hastur in particular are significant fixations of mine.  Having never read this King story, is their use in this likely to make me smile, or fill me with nerdrage?

Yes.

Yes.

@avclub-d80126524c1e9641333502c664fc6ca1:disqus   No.  Nonononononono.
You cannot try and connect the original Bedazzled with the remake.  It's not just a matter of the Devil changing forms, it's a matter of the Devil being a completely different fucking character with a completely fucking different motivation and

@avclub-bc68599029928a93ff775e686c3be325:disqus  . . . I have absolutely no memory of the scene you're referring to.  I guess I've done a better job than I thought of forgetting about that movie.  Well, perhaps I'll use this to justify my above-mentioned theory that the Origins: Wolverine movies are, in fact,

What age are you assuming he is in Origins:Wolverine?  The first X-Men was set in "The Near Future" and released in 2000.  As I recall (and, admittedly, I do my best to recall as little as possible of Wolverine), he couldn't have possibly been older than 10-12.  So early-to-mid-30s.  Which . . . given that it's "movie

Huh.  Well there you go.  I've never been a big Superman fan, so I guess it makes sense that I'd not know that.  Any other examples?

Yeah, I was going to point out the Cerebro thing, but that seems pretty easy to hand-wave as Xavier referring specifically to the Cerebro in the Mansion.  And, given COMICS, it's not hard to think that Xavier and Magneto didn't work together again at some point between 1962 and "The Near Future".

Except now it appears that the apparently in-production second Origins: Wolverine movie will be a sequel to the first, thus seemingly establishing it as still canon:

Fuck you for saying that succinctly, and thus stealing my nerd thunder.
