yeah im not so sure the whole thing where he destroys all of his material once a year is the best idea for turning out a finely tuned, consistently funny program. but the innovation is awesome for his tv show.

most of these other reality show hosts are kind of wooden and awkward. padma has a spark, and grace. gail is good as a judge but i dont think she's enough of a presence to carry a show.

i think the thing about louis is that he mostly focuses on reacting.. facial expressions and such. perhaps because he knows he might not be the best actor on the block yet. this show, on the other hand, is so focused on marc jabbering all the time that his skills (or lack thereof) are front and center.
totally agree.. interested to see other bobcat directed episodes now. he definitely brought out the most natural and nuanced performance from marc thus far. also captured some of the magic of the early days podcast banter.
