Yeah, the current story lines prevent any new viewers from joining in.   At least if they'd have stuck with a more freak of the week structure, it would have been easier to wrap everything up at the end - now, there's virtually no way they can tie up all the lose ends.  Sigh.  Too bad, because the acting has been

…or bring in Walter White and Jessie Pinkman into the picture…!

I wonder if they couldn't have just introduced the initial cast of characters, and then gave us a series of freak of the week episodes - that format seems to work pretty well in the drama genre…

Loved. Loved. Loved this one! King keeps the pedal to the metal throughout, and it was fun to travel back in time…and into an alternate future with him.  I'm not convinced Oswald acted alone, but this really isn't as important as you think it would be. Great ending (for once!) Highly recommended!

"Jars" wasn't too shabby…

Hey, I'll take it.  Tool-lite sounds fine by me, considering Tool only seems to go into the studio once per decade.  I like the new Chevelle - "Face to the Floor" and "Hats Off to the Bull" both chug along quite nicely.  At least this stuff rocks compared to so much of today's "rock".

I wonder when Season 1 will be coming out on DVD?  As I don't get Showcase Canada, there's not much chance I can legally watch this show.  Grrr!

I'm only about 200 pages in, but I have to agree that King should have maybe given us a little more about the actual mechanics of the time travel portal as well as the hero's motivation.  So far, so good, though.  You really want to take your time and savour each page, so you don't miss a thing.  Not quite a gripping

Not exactly on topic, but I'm lovin' the new Metallica EP, "Beyond Magnetic".  They may be leftovers from the Death Magnetic sessions, but these tunes tend to take some chances, and they don't seem to be compressed to hell in the studio, so definitely worth a listen.

Yeah, my favourite so far as well, although the acting has been top-notch all season long.  Not looking forward to the upcoming FRINGE-free period.

…and speaking of Courtney Love, is there any chance we'll get a review of the new Dave Grohl biography?  (Please?)

The only way I'll eat 'em is if they're hidden in my trail mix.

While probably too rockin' for most people's tastes, I'd put Alter Bridge's "Blackbird" in the same category with Hotel California, Stairway and Paranoid Android - vague lyrics and crazy good guitar solo.  Amazing.

Good analogy.  The best part is that the solution will likely be similar, too - the NHL players still got their money (and then some), and even though it looked like a total victory over the workers, it now costs many of the owners even more dough to stay in the game.  Go, Blue Jackets, Go!

Harmless "Dad Rock".  They look and sound like they're having fun, and so they should.  Gimme this stuff any day over all the absolutely forgettable indy "rock" we've been hearing so much of lately.  Rock on, gentlemen.  I plan to be there when the party comes to Toronto.

I thought they could have done more with the awkward guy chat during this movie - the story and acting were decent, but Rogen just came off as crude and childish for the most part.

…see, that's the thing…

…and speaking of "Dad Rock", the new Chickenfoot has several quality tunes on it - 'Dubai Blues' is currently on heavy rotation.

A co-worker supposedly fell asleep during a show at the same tour.  Not quite sure how something like that would happen…

As soon as the professor touched his Earth-2 serial-killer opposite, I expected them to melt or explode or something - two of the same thing occupying the same space or something.
