Meh, Cherone was the only singer VH had without Lead Singer Disease. Too bad they didn't have better tunes to work with on that album. Cherone's work with Extreme was pretty sweet '80's guitar rock.
I think I heard the new Chickenfoot album on MySpace…
Loved "Runaway Train": I need SHOES, Manny!
Casino Niagara?!
…and I have no idea why Sean Penn is coming to Casino Niagara. Not sure how much one should pay to sit through a Sean Penn PowerPoint presentation, but it just strikes me as a strange form of entertainment.
Kinda makes you wish that another company would offer to split the costs with AMC - kinda like what TV does during the olympics or NASCAR or an NFL season. This show needs to go out with a bang - even if that costs some dough.
Some great comments on this thread. I've personally rescinded my lifetime pass for U2, based on everything they've put out since Zooropa, but to each their own.
I just finished re-watching the S3 finale, and found myself wanting some flashback episodes, showing us where Walt and Skyler went so wrong: things looked pretty good when they were discussing the purchase of their first home…
And while you're badmouthing baseball, be sure to add UNBALANCED SCHEDULE to your list. Grumble, grumble, grumble…
CBC should take over Breaking Bad: they could throw in a new story arc Walt Jr falls in with some hockey players who are in a figure skating challenge, or maybe the illicit manufacturing of maple syrup. Plus, the soundtrack could be taken to the next level by Deadmau5 or maybe Down With Webster. Sample Jesse…
I preferred "The Heroin Diaries" by Sixx - after you die of an overdose the first time, wouldn't you think that would be enough to make you at least slow down?
Exactly - there hasn't been any decent rock since the Foo Fighters latest disc.
Jesse didn't HAVE to kill Gale - even wounding him would be sufficient, as production from the lab has to keep going, right? A shot to the shoulder would at least buy Walt a few extra weeks.
This was the first episode that my wife disliked. Personally, I laughed at the slapstick elements, and was on the edge of my seat, thinking Walt would blurt out something he'd regret - similar to the cell phone admission before his surgery. Still, it felt like filler more than anything else. The bar has been set so…
The Twins are Waiting!
Now that we know that Walt's days are numbered - the twins can exact their revenge once the 3 months are up - really adds another dimension to this episode.
Favourite Episode of Season 3 (So Far)
Wow, what an amazing episode. Great call-backs to earlier episodes, with both the story and the characters moving forward nicely. Just excellent. I certainly didn't foresee Walt signing the divorce papers.
Well, if by "sonar" you mean "quirky dialogue" and by "depth charges blow up" you mean "boy has his heart broken while trying to get laid", you're probably right - and yeah, I hate that shit, too.
Season 3 on DVD!
Yay! Season 3 just arrived - it was great to catch up with Saul and the gang. Plus, ROOF PIZZA. It's just about time for a BB S3 marathon, baby!
I was just hoping that Van Halen would somehow get a show and find a lead singer. Waaaaay too much C&W music this season. Painful.
Wrong Manufacturer?
With a combination of Cowboys and Aliens, shouldn't they have been using a Ford FUSION? Impala's could be used to promote Out of Africa or something similar.
