I am still unsure after the final reveal with Newton at the end. At first I thought they were going for this whole Peter-is-paranoid-and-looking-for-answers schtick but that ending had me wondering. The thing that makes me think the killings were eventually unrelated is that the device that was alluded to for tracking

Oh yes and then there was "find the crack."

I was actually wondering what the title had to do with the historical northwest passage which was a long sought after path from the Atlantic to the Pacific. I guess that meaning doesn't apply so well to this episode, but it applies in a general sense to the premise of connecting alternate worlds, but if anything it

The backdoor pilot vibe I got from this episode might make an interesting concept to follow up on but for the series it made me think how much I like certain aspects of Peter and made me appreciate how much the show has developed it's characters that we would even consider some other permutation on its formula.

Part of the story also didn't seem to make sense. Was Newton and the brain lobotomies a lark because it seemed like Peter happened to stumble on a serial killer who "wanted to be close" to the woman. I was left feeling a little confused as to how "creep with hammer" related to Newton. And what the hell was up with

Is this really a remake of the fourth movie because It sounds like something different.

Cass was awesome on this episode. Especially that line about Dean's withered husk of a man.

Do not ask about human centipede, you do not want to know, that shit is disturbing.
Better off thinking about Gwyneth and goop.

Wow, that does look sweet. I am so going to watch this.

Yeah, TimeWarner is a pain. Basic service is only a few bucks less than basic cable. Although I am thinking about switching to rabbit ears, but I have gotten used to the DVR function which makes things a lot easier as far as when to catch your favorite show.
Does anyone know if there is some sort of DVR device that

Orangina aside.
Sprite (or 7up) and orange juice (but usually sunny d) was what I thought of as ghetto orange soda. Not too bad when you drink it straight, but best when put in one of those plastic popsicle molds and frozen for later consumption.

too bad this is only on wii
Any word on whether it might come out for other platforms?

That's weird, I think the fact that anyone can intervene to change fate that way would almost negate your supposition.

I didn't think the inclusion of Brady was that contrived either. I don't know how long Zack has been watching but Brady (character and plot wise) seemed to fit right in line with Jake, the other favored child of Azazel. In fact he kind of reminded me of him, but that might just be personal. The key thing, though, is

Honestly if they brought back Crowley and Castiel for the 6th it would be pretty easy to stick around.

Don't forget Vatican II
That really screwed over the fish vendors.

Prog Rock and mad scientists
Every time I see this theme I can't help but think of that episode of Venture Brothers where Rusty introduces Dean to psychedelic rock.

They found the original in the woods and I think it may have been the first (or close to it) delving into the mythology of the watchers. The things ended up being some sort of weapon that could travel through the Earth's crust if I remember right.

In so far as a "Once more with feeling" type episode could give insight into the Fringe universe and its characters I could agree with your sentiment, but the singing in and of itself did not do it for me in this episode. Although, it was nice to hear the different type of singing voices each character has. Broyles

Damn, Rabin how do you get all the good stuff:
"Wow, you'd make a good armed robber."
