To gee-man - I haven't seen the movie so I cannot comment. But, there has been plenty of movies dealing with the treatment of one human to another. They have won awards. Both black, white and other colors. Colors to us white folk anyway.

That doesn't excuse poor manners. Manners would dictate she ignore such things.

I don't know but her comment about politics and awarding on merit meant, to me, that she believes she had the best performance. Perhaps she did, but pointing out that believe is rather unwise and conceited, in my little opinion.
