It's a total subversion of the Bechdel Test, almost - how many times do we see just Luke and Jess in the apartment and they DO discuss the Gilmore girls?

Oh, that's me! This is definitely my first time being name-dropped on the internet without my being present in the thread first. It's quite thrilling.

Was his the one that was all "Well I only watched half the season before making a hyperbolic judgment but THE INTERNET RUINED THE SHOW"?

@avclub-284452bdab5c8151f9f079dc367ceb6b:disqus The Danes Anomaly?

I haven't watched the whole thing more than twice, some episodes maybe even just once, but some I've watched 3+ times and I STILL pick up on new jokes every time.

Does anyone else find it odd that they're talking about Arrested's "hiatus"? I mean, it was done. And then it wasn't. For awhile, I don't think it had any of the "will/will maybe come back" certainty/ambiguity TV hiatuses do, until it did. I'm not sure that in 2006 there was actual hope it would come back someday?

@msmalone90:disqus  I wasn't aware there was ever a spinoff in the works, since I didn't catch the early seasons until their reruns on fox/abc family. Now that makes me mad.

Loved when Rory invites Paris to stay. "Okay, but if you're only doing this so you can freeze my bra, I'll kill you."

Glad I'm not alone! Hopefully a few more proish-Jess commenters will come out of the woodwork at some point.

He's also the same one in charge of renovating Luke's when he buys the building.

I'm going to have to use the next couple weeks to prepare myself for Jess showing up. I always had a slightly shameful thing for him more than Rory's other guys (partly shallowly due to my finding him the most attractive when I was first watching it at the right age…plus I could relate more in high school to Rory

I realize. Just following the "realism" thread.

Also it seems like that judge should be legitimately concerned by "I'm no good at making big decisions."

@avclub-cfe912f5cb3aa572bd1c9ae2a9b82207:disqus I actually really dig (pun semi-intended) his role. Gerard Depardieu's, on the other hand…

We watched it in high school, over the course of like a week of classes, so that was manageable. And I saw it again for a Shakespeare & Film class in college, over the course of two screenings. It's still a doozy, though. That's what happens when you don't cut any lines, I guess!

He was in Branagh's mammoth version, wasn't he?

I think I saw a photo somewhere of him and RDJ together and wasn't sure what the context could be. Mystery solved! I loved his fanboying even more than Coulson's obsession with Cap in Avengers.

My boyfriend surprised me by showing up Friday with Bioshock Infinite, so after going to see Iron Man 3 Friday night, I proceeded to finish the game by Sunday afternoon. I'm not big on video games, especially FPS - this franchise is basically the only ones I've played - so the gameplay isn't as big a deal to me as the

And The Way Way Back, which looks pretty promising.
