Yeah the line about them being bff's kind of went over my head, though I remember it now. Still, it would have worked better if we had ever seen them actually be friends, or if them being friends in the past was given a bit more focus than one line. Which is why if it was Ming or Tamara in that situation it would have

Maybe it has been a term of endearment her abusers/parenting figures have used on her, so she used it with Kira to give the same feeling.

I think the Jenna story would have worked better if it had been guilt for a close friend, because it was asking us to believe Jenna would care that much about a pretty much stranger in Kristy. I know that was kind of the point, that her guilt had spread that far, but that was also hard to get across in a 20 minute

oh yeah and: Tom - Ok he killed a shark with a machete. That was pure badass. But he seemed to be condescending to people a fair bit. His strategic play had merit in theory, but I thought in practice he could be too controlling and threatening in the way he deployed it, which gave him moments of proto-Russell. Of

My Survivor Catch up - Season 10 Palau SPOILERS obvs
Loved it. A truly great pre-merge with a story for it and the season as a whole that I found fascinating to watch. It had a great mix of strategy, epic challenge drama/action and emotional storytelling.

Well this seems the best place to reply to your comment below. So I have just finished up Palau, and if you have now watched at least a few seasons of the show I think you would highly enjoy it. It certainly rewards a slightly more experienced survivor-fan with how it plays out. (purposely vague!)

This comes to Australia on July 18! The pain of waiting!
I have a thing on my birthday where I try to set aside a couple of hours to watch a favourite movie, and this year it was Before Sunset. Which has one of the greatest movie endings ever. And I am still incredibly excited for this.

The Ross/Rachel break up 2-parter is as emotional as the show ever got, while never really going into 'special episode' territory. And to me that was a key of the show, how much heart there was in these characters and relationships, so that it didn't feel odd when the show got more dramatic.

Goldfish!

Mentioned in an article vs. News Update
We will one day all understand the difference and it shall be a more peaceful time.

People were saying that last year's 'The Other Woman' was written backwards, which made sense to me. But if the Mad Men writers decided to put the office on speed and go crazy just for that whorehouse comparison, I'm actually impressed with how crazy that is.

That is kind of what endears me to her though. And I totally get why others find it aggravating, because that behaviour is aggravating. But it is real and a behaviour I know I have fallen into, especially with high school intensifying everything that we often can't realise and appreciate what we have till it's gone. I

Another staple of high school relationships, repetitive drama!
Although I can see why others wouldn't enjoy that in a TV show.

Beau Mirchoff is having a stellar season so far. I thought at a certain point 'bad dancing' would stop being funny, and at times it has lost it's humour (pretty much everytime I saw/see gangnam style). But Matty brought back my love of it in the best way. His enthusiasm and sincerity are quite endearing.

Which is what made the dance at the end so joyous. They were happy!
Although it does feel very high-school for them to appear good to everyone else, but they each have their own personal anxieties that the other doesn't seem to even know about.

From this band, I'll go with this one from 'Karen', which gets extra points because I didn't pick up on it till about the 3rd listen:
"Karen, we should call your father, maybe it's just a phase

I am now at the point that I think I might be only a big The National fan because of that album. A few tracks from 'Sad Songs', a few from 'Boxer', a few from 'Cherry Tree' and a few from 'High Violet'.

Ad jingle: "Butt Coffee, the good kind of kick in the butt"
In this case however, not really.

Yeah I figured just seeing the name Daniel is all the explanation I would need, since he has had a vastly different life to all of us, but @avclub-c9e8c2fa5cc6babf4e6c8a2e83361fe1:disqus explained it better than I could so go with that.
