I don't think I was as big a fan as you, but I never understood the intense hate for Rachel and Joey. They were great friends, and they seemed to have a lot of fun together. It made enough sense to me.

I don't know, I'm a pretty big fan of the show, and for the most part first season episodes are definitely not my favorites.

I actually didn't love the book. The episodic nature of it kind of killed the momentum for me, if that makes any sense.
