@avclub-eac75edc18b8546c46893fe4b75ab995:disqus I like both ways of "watching," though. Parks & Recreation is my favorite show, and if someone talks to me during it I will not respond. But I also love having Friends on when I'm just on my laptop or doing something else.

I kind of agree about Bob's Burgers. I've tried to love it, but for me it's merely a pleasant show, not really amazing.

Well he wouldn't have to know know that they're more interested than Eskimo Joe necessarily, but he could pick up on the heightened interest which comes from her being able to speak German and the fact that Schultz seems to be really fond of her. But yeah I see what you're saying. I guess it comes down to how

Yeah my audience laughed a lot during early scenes where people were getting shot and blood was exploding everywhere. I think it cooled down because they realized as the movie went on that that kind of thing becomes the norm.

I kept thinking the second of his two characters would have a bigger role to play; they kept doing these close-up shots of him.

Tarantino makes some really good points in that interview, I think the most practical of which is that if Schultz offered more money than she was worth, then Candie could just keep raising the price once he got wind that she was special to him. Whether he would do that or just accept the generous offer is up for

The Jonah Hill scene was probably the hardest I've laughed at a movie this year.

At first it bugged me a little that they didn't just go straight to Candie and offer more money than she was worth (not $12,000 though). But after reading Tarantino's thing about Schultz's needing to be in power I think it makes sense.
