For me Total Recall belongs to a category of movies where the movie wasn't painful or offensive to watch, maybe it was even moderately entertaining, but afterwards I realize how dull it was and never ever want to see it again. Same with Clash of the Titans, Abraham Vampire Hunter, the Thing remake.

I thought Cabin in the Woods was really good but sometimes I think it could've worked better as a short film or something. The deconstruction of horror is really great and clever, and the finale was awesome, but to get there they had to make like half of the movie an actual generic horror movie, i.e. the part where

I went to buy Season 4 at Best Buy and the guy there had never heard of it either. Oddly enough he did know Adam Scott from Friends with Kids though.

Didn't they do like the exact same bit last year but the opposite, where you're led to believe Kevin's dog is dead but it's actually not? I thought that was great; this was just messed up.
