Oh God no not Mega Bloks! In the name of all that is good and holy, who let French Canadians make Legos???

Just Google Lego football/baseball/soccer stadiums, find a stadium you're really familiar with and marvel at the level of detail these guys build in. Equal parts exhilarating and frightening.

I got my son The Lego Ideas Book for Christmas, It features beautiful color plates of builds of things made from specialty sets (of which he has about 10,000 pieces). It has some really creative ideas about how to use those weird shaped pieces, like the half rounded edges of a Millenium Falcon, say.

And plastic hair! Don't forget the plastic hair that always seemed like you could just about pull it off. Well…maybe if I chew on it a bit…

Wait…you forgot the thin gray platform thingies!

My favorites when I was a kid were Square and Rectangle.

"The Home for Abandoned Retarded Children?" In Florida our name for that is "The Legislature." And I ain't giving those fuckers no Legos.

Obama's Danish?

I guess I hate to tell you then, but Lego City Undercover is a righteously awesome game, too. Not to mention the forthcoming Lego Movie.

With a battery pack?

As a father of three I can tell you that everytime I walk across the house we lose a couple of those small parts. Because they are permanently embedded in my feet.

And will anyone do a version of "Undercover Angel"???

Troy is plastic y'all, plastic, what?

When sung properly, remember the girl in the song is wearing a shaggy dress. Yes.

Little known but true. Phil Walden got his start in the music business booking bands for parties at his Phil Delt fraternity house at Emory in the early sixties. His favorite was a kid from just down the road named Otis Redding.

Right now we'd like to do a little song called "Sham a Lam a Ding Dong"

My favorite Otis lyric: "Got ta, got ta, got ta…nanana…huh!, got ta got ta…"

Whaat!?!?

Otis would've headed home to Dawson North of Albany (people round here never just call it Dawson) and opened the best BBQ restaurant in the area.

Stax is London Calling to Motown's Combat Rock.
