Or Brute and Glob?

So it's no is it?

Well, he does remain as the inspiration to essentially all the serial killers doing their "collecting" on our plane, does he not? That's a heavy backstory for even the reconstituted Corinthian.

Mr. Furious was way furiouser than the Hoff as Nick Fury.

Fifty Shades of Black

I said this earlier, but I swear that looks just like Robert Smith circa 1985.

Is it just me or does that picture look like Robert Smith circa 1985?

Is Nolan involved with DC beyond his trilogy? I thought I had read that he had a specific vision for the Batman troika and when he finished he walked away and refused to even discuss future projects with DC.

Soiarse Ronan?

Nah. Tits are too small.

Del Toro would be perfect given his fascination with mythology and film. Lynch could never subsume his personal senibilities to Gaiman's creation, but Del Toro could. From that point of view Pan's Labyrinth looks (feels?) a lot like a cousin to Sandman already.

Great point Wallflower. Gaiman's Sandman is, after all, himself a re-imagining of an old DC character.

IIRC, Gaiman didn't really show much of the really wigged-out stuff in the diner. A talented director could/should do the same with a film adaptation.

Gary Oldman as Morpheus.

A talented director and writer could do it justice. What makes the series so great is how deep and fully-realied the world is. A simple retelling would be awful…but there's lots of interesting stuff they could do with that world and Morpheus. Much more, I think, than more straightforward stuff like Watchmen and Scott

Morpheus is a God on Mars, too! Who'd a thunk it?

I think Sandman would be much easier. It focuses on a single character and is far less linear and more episodic - even just Preludes gives a potential screenwriter a lot more material to sift through. Oh, and the series' author isn't a more-than-half-crazy warlock/shaman dick…so maybe he might even help.

Can we at least dream about a Constantine that isn't Keanu Reeves? Maybe with a British fucking accent?

JGL would kill as the Corinthian.

Another goddam piece of my childhood gone.
