I'm no big fan, but with the Go-Gos that's kinda obvious - especially if you were in high school or older in 1981-82. The Go-Gos made "punk" and "new wave" and to a lesser extent "girl bands" OK for Top 40 radio. They were also on of the seminal bands of MTV's early heyday.
