If a movies about Borstal scares the shit out of people, imagine what a movie about the Arthur G. Dozier School for Boys would do. Whoopeee!!

Hey now…that's no way to talk about Kate Winslet and Terence Stamp.

And I was sooo looking forward to "Last in Line at the Gang Bang" playing over the opening credits.

Point well taken @avclub-0f0d67e214f9fef69b278e3d08114da9:disqus .

My take away is the Jon was attacked (killed?) becuase he realizes that the threat is so dire and the resources so meager that he has to try something desperate and the garrison - much like the rest of the country - can't get their heads out of their own asses long enough to see he's right. I'm afraid this now puts

Roose: No, just ruthless in the extreme.

Unless he's grinning at your window. And under no circumstances should you invite him in for a game of cards.

To be fair it was more of a Black Brunch.

When he would send instructions/intelligence/etc. to his commanders, would they call it the Robb Report?

The North remembers…but apparently they're trees.

Dany's not just ready to head to Westeros, she's got what looks to be a highly capable army there already.

I think the Greyjoys are going to be the ones to take us to Valyria.

But you gotta admit @JudgeReinhold:disqus we gotta have Cersei's nekkid walk through town!

Well said@avclub-c1fe85b855c6d045b827f74a1e2c3fd7:disqus …this is the oft-repeated (in the books) point of the construct of the Iron Throne. I don't think GRRM would flog that theme like he has if he didn't intend it to be one of the defining themes of the series.

Perhaps the central conflict in the books is the one stated at the outset: Winter is coming and an old evil magic is stirring. And perhaps the overarching question is "can these people ever put naked self interest and narcissism aside and get their shit together long enough to prevent the death of their entire world?"

Truer words were never spoken…

Look close. The one on the left is actually…Gene Parmesan!

Lisa Kudrow always = motorboat.

My apologies @avclub-3bca94e353e508c1a49bf984fc5c346d:disqus  I failed to read your post closely enough. Your point is well taken.

This is actually a great development. It clears the way for…King Hodor!
