I'm surprised 3-D chess was that easy for Penny to pick up without any explanation. I've tried looking up the rules and I'm not sure I entirely understand them.

I didn't think he bought them separately, I thought they were different cases within the same box set.
Maybe all the other scientists live too far away?
I thought the joke was that Stuart got Sheldon to overpay for Aquaman, a superhero he didn't even really like that much.
Everyone who counts loves Michael J. Fox.
The studio and network really pushed Berman & Co. not only to make new Trek shows when they warned them of fatigue, but also to make them more formulaic. On some level Berman agreed because that was the way he knew to protect Roddenberry's legacy. But with ENT they finally were granted some freedom to experiment,…
Well the type of Doctor Who stuff they were doing was stuff Doctor Who didn't quite do yet. This was 1968 when Troughton was still on, and before the sonic screwdriver appeared. So Assignment: Earth beat them to that and to the Pertwee style stories they were probably going to do. Actually I wonder if Assignment:…
Ah the perils of only appearing in a handful of episodes—now everyone thinks all you do is play domjot.
Thanks. I try to manage expectations well. I always say ENT was the VOY team's honest attempt to redeem themselves and respond to criticism they received for that show. It's an attempt that mostly works functionally speaking, even if it doesn't soar to the heights of DS9 at its best.
If it was a bathroom, now I'm thinking it was like in Can't Hardly Wait.
Insurrection is in the future from Sacrifice of Angels POV. I assume you meant Indiscretion?
@avclub-146bc30c345d31f3468fec764a1970e1:disqus Of course, but that's the point of the ambition, to inspire the politicians, philosophers, and economists of tomorrow the way Trek has always inspired scientists, engineers, and filmmakers.I would say though that it's not so much the same problem PBS would have…
Nope. In the DS9 Companion they describe the shift as being almost totally CGI towards the end of the series. The major pivot points in Trek toward CGI seem to be Generations, which had a mix of the two, and Way of the Warrior, which pushed the models to the breaking point. They grabbed whatever they could to make…
The warp scale never had the warp factor (wf) such that wf = wf times c.
If you've only seen the first half of ENT I suggest you check out the second half before you decide. I think the second season is the worst because it practically turns the season one stuff into cliches retroactively. It kind of makes one's memories of the first show less favorable.
Okay. Bring on the Far Beyond the Stars and then the double-A side later in the season!
She's also in Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman, which was a pretty big surprise when checking that show out.
Well for me Trek shows I'd like to see are:
Me too. I still don't remember it and I've been looking around Memory Alpha to try to figure it out. They mention that Odo and the Female Changeling talk about human sex, but the summary didn't mention them acting upon it.
I'll have to rewatch it.
Judging by the episode numbers it looks like he might have to choose between that and In the Pale Moonlight, if he decides to do them as singles. If he did both as singles it would mean Inquisition would be by itself too.
