Kill them All is probably one of my top favorite 10 TV episodes of all time. If you can survive the first three not so great episodes you'll be greatly rewarded by the end of the first season, and it stays just as strong for the next three.

Kill them all Katie.

Batty is one of my favorite TV characters ever. The masterstroke was making him just funny and charismatic enough to root for him as he fought off his own enemies, while still being completely satisfied when his major character flaw of pride led to his bloody downfall. Masterful writing and performances all around.

Cloud Atlas is the big daddy everyone knows about and compares all his work to. I'd recommend that one, or Ghostwritten, his first and most user friendly work.

"The Rainy Season" and "The Last Pages" might be the most beautiful final 10 pages in any book I've ever read.

Mira was so awesome. She might be the best character of the entire "Vengeance" season. You rarely see the one sided affection role on the female side, especially in an action heavy show, but she nailed it and her own agency so well.

I would point out that Whitfield's performance got exponentially stronger as the season goes along. The early episode Spartcus was way too overly self involved and dangerously close to emo woe is me. "The Thing in the Pit" was when he figured out how to balance that ego and humanity as one and his performance (and the

As for ships, one of my favorite things about the show is there are no clear "true loves". It's just people - messy, complicated people that collide and repeal and hurt and love each other in an array of different ways. Almost no couple has a happy ending, but they know love and loss.

Fat Lee is still my favorite random plotline of all time from any show. I'm convinced the Fat Mac season of Always Sunny just stole the idea.

I'm going to stop all of you calling this the greatest episode of the series ever - it's not. That honor goes to Exodus 1 and 2 that opened the third season. This is a strong second place and amazing opener to the series though.

Agreed. She's not herself. She wasn't that entire sequence. She's an emotional wreck, and feels like she failed by giving in to the avatar state during her poisoning. It will hopefully lead to interesting conflicts in the final book.

This was A+ material. Such an amazing recovery after the mess of Season 2. I thought the ending was shockingly dark - you never see a hero that traumatized after a battle. Korra has nothing the way she hates feeling weak or useless.

I think you have villain Stockholm Syndrome. They were charming zealots, but still single minded zealots in the end. That's 100% true to character and real life.

Every episode from this one until the finale is amazing. One of my favorite mini-runs in TV history. I could watch them on loop (in the right company of course, some people would have issues with all the sex and violence) all the time.

I caught this show by accident last night and found it hilarious and awesome. Big turn around from the previews which made it look awful. So high five to the show creators, less so to the marketing team.
