I think it's one of those things where it probably makes perfect sense, but this being the US and there being that always-present suspicion that there might be a disgusting racial component to it….well, it's just disappointing that a movie as good as Ghostbusters has that demerit next to it.

I can see that, The Abyss is like "MESSAGE! DRAMATIC SHIT!" whereas Leviathan is more of a "how many one liners can we have someone say while a Cthulhu-thing is eating them?"
