I feel like Ishtar might have been really funny if: A.) it was shorter— it just felt kind of too big to be funny, and B) it had two different actors in the lead.

It's a pretty gorgeous movie. Visually speaking I've always felt like it was a direct precursor to Terrence Malick's style. It always makes me think of Days of Heaven and vice versa.
